I thought I'd save some money and buy this item refurbished. You may find similar available with various descriptions, but be aware of what may appear to be a fault. My bar would not respond to button presses on the device and would constantly default after 30-60seconds to optical input (I wanted a wireless connection with my ks7000) volume would also default to a low setting. If yours does this, it will likely be in a shop floor demo mode and this needs to be turned off. Power off device with remote. Press and hold volume down and display should come up saying shop off. Then it should work as normal. It took 2 attempts for me, but saved returning the bar and suffering TV speakers for longer 👍🏻

OK. I'm not a spring chicken any more, but i'm not deaf either. I have found however, particularly watching feature films, where the actors speak quietly, or mumble, that i'm missing odd words, or even a sentence. I saw that this particular soundbar has good reviews, so went ahead and purchased it. I set the soundbar onto the CLEAR VOICE setting, and settled down with a good film. Imagine my disappointment, absolutely no improvement! Yes, the sound was an improvement, more bass sound, and a better range, but no clearer. I have also noticed that for 450 watts, it doesn't seem that powerful. I would never require it to be at full volume, but just wanted to try it ONCE to see if, as i expected, it would almost blow me out of my seat...it didn't. In fact, the volume from 80 to its max at 100, seemed little different. Lastly, I appreciate that there are several ways of connecting the TV and soundbar, and just one of those cables would have been a bonus, it would have saved a 45 minute journey into town to purchase one..............hence my just OK review. The quality of sound (especially treble) on flat screen televisions is awful as the speakers are so small. The only way to improve the sound quality is by using a sound bar which includes a treble/clear voice/movie/music setting especially for those of us of mature years! This sounds bar does all of the above and although it is expensive the difference it makes to viewing enjoyment is well worth the money.

This Soundbar has huge volume and huge amount of BASS but only if you manage to connect it together with STB (set top box) + TV. You do NOT mix Optical with HMDI. You use a double priced actual HDMI ARC Cable not one which just says it is one! The only way to hear the proper Sound is via using Series Connections: STB SB TV via the TV ARC but you may not get Sound on your Smart TV's Youtube as it must have CEC TV settings to stop ANYNET+. Then need to set Power Source in Source (HDMI3) so it wakes up your STB. It can play Sound for Youtube if you connect in Parallel to TV and use Source HDMI1 but then you can lose the TONE & EQ Control and the Woofer can vibrate badly and phase cancel also. I need to experiment more with this to function properly to get back those controls. It has caused many buyers to sell them on or get repairs that are just needing a RESET by Power OFF with detach cables. I added the Rear Speakers and it's seriously good with Movies which send out DTS. Don't use PCM nut DTS2.5 and set NO DELAY. You may want RF not LINE also. I have never spent so many days just trying to get this set up! If it ever sounds bad it's just needing a RESET and you have an issue on cables most likely. Unless there is a interface out there which fixes the Youtube to play when in Series rather than using a Manual Hold Button for Anynet+ = OFF! Quite likely a Amazon Fire Stick or Cube does solve this and gives you a better browser too!Read full review

Samsung Sound+ HW-MS650 Wireless Smart Soundbar 7 out of 10 (A good buy). Positives: - Great build quality: No busses or rattles. Metal on top which is nice to see. - Ease of use - Plug-and-play on modern TVs. - Bluetooth and Wireless just work - no connectivity issues. - Easy-to-use remote. - If you like bass you'll be right at home. Has the option to attach a sub but don't feel the need. Opportunities: - Bluetooth connectivity can't be turned-off : Neighbours children next door managed to connect and had fun at our expense: Ability to lock Bluetooth via a pin would ne nice. - Speech can be drowned-out in some movies: Basic tuning via the equaliser in the Samsung Multiroom app will improve this. - Lacking in subtlety of high-mid frequencies. A tweeter is likely used for high-mid and it sounds like it - a quality horn in the centre channel would have been a great help. (Caveat - Can link with other speakers if needed so can be rectified). Overall: A good solid quality versatile product with options to adjust to your sound profile. Rich-enough sound to not leave most feeling the need for additional speakers. Read full review
